I am proud to announce that I am chairing my college’s new Committee on Multi-Generational Teaching & Learning.
From what I can tell, the committee is a “first.” No other college or university that I am aware of has such a committee, which is comprised of representatives from a variety of college academic and administrative departments as well as from a variety of age groups. We look forward to appointing two student members as well as at least one member from the area private and/or public sectors.
The committee’s mission is to explore ways in which our college can better prepare its students for today’s age-diverse college classroom, workplace, and society. We intend to share our findings with the educational community here in Maryland and beyond.
This is an exciting initiative, and I will be sure to provide regular updates here.
